MINISTRY OF JUSTICE CELL SAFETY PROGRAMME WORKS

New Zealand’s portfolio of district and high court buildings are undergoing important safety upgrades to address potential aspects of the existing cell construction that could allow detainees to self-harm or otherwise hurt themselves or others. Fire HQ were engaged to review the existing fire safety features in each of these buildings and advise appropriate upgrades to each commensurate with the project scope. As part of the design team (special thanks to Opus who led the safety upgrade works) delivering these important safety improvements we are proud to have been part of a challenging engineering project delivering real improvements to the safety of vulnerable people.
