SIR MARK DUNAJTSCHIK

MENTAL HEALTH CENTRE

Project Details

Fire HQ are extremely proud to have contributed to the design of the Sir Mark Dunajtschik Mental Health Centre. The building is a 36 bed in-patient mental health support facility providing variable needs-based care levels, therapy spaces, and low stimuli spaces.

The fire engineering design of such facilities is particularly complex, noting the competing needs of resident fire safety, security and therapeutic need. Notwithstanding this however, the project was delivered through the design and review process in a timely manner, with all deliverables and deadlines met.

We were very pleased to deliver all fire engineering disciplines on this project. Our services included fully modelled and coordinated passive firestopping solutions in BIM360. This allows firestopping systems and minimum separation distances to be allowed for within the services layouts and scheduled to the design LOD.
