AON CENTRE LEVEL 25 FLOOR INFILL

This interesting project involved in-filling a new floor into an existing double height space on Level 25 of the existing building. The new floor is open to the one below requiring specific smoke and egress modelling for the whole tower. Of particular interest is the construction methodology of building a new floor at the top of a building and the limited size of structural members this imposes, while still maintaining a column-free floor plate. A challenging Client brief!
The solution involved splicing main structural members and delivery via helicopter and through the floor above. Well done to Holmes Consulting Group who were the Structural Engineers.
